Ears and Eyes for you is an organization that allows each and everyone to have access to covid19 information. We working towards answering all possible questions about this virus and we always give accurate and relevant information that is truthful. It allows everyone to share his or her opinion, ask question and Express their views. It can be positive or negative.
When the world got striked by the Virus (Covid19), everyone was afraid for his/her own life. Such that news ( opinion and facts) were stated. Misinformation about the virus Vaccine was also spreaded. Others were saying that this virus vaccine is set to kill people. They further said that the government has a hand in all this. Others said that vaccine is not for people to use it will bring harm to them. This false information ended up being shared via all social media platforms in a form of voice notes, memes, pictures and so forth. Our own president Cyril Ramaphosa ended up establishing new law that says who ever is found sharing all this false information about Covid19 will be arrested and Fined. This was done so that people in the future they will learn to verify information before sharing it and to be able to differentiate between facts and False information. DR Noluthando ( head of discovery Health centre for clinical excellence) says "it is good for one to ask questions so that you can be informed, however it is your responsibility to verify your information more especially if you are about to make decisions". The Covid 19 vaccine is for everyone and it will help deal with the virus.
Let us learn to verify information about Covid19 Vaccine and everything before we can share it with others. This will help know and be able to differentiate between Facts and opinions and the World will become a better informed place.
Sometimes people make their opinions look like facts, not realising what damage they cause to other people. Misinforming is a bad act. Especially about covid-19
ReplyDeleteCOVID-19 really took us off guard from one affected person to millions of people dying from it. We really need to keep safe and i totally agree we need to learn to verify information about COVID-19 and everything before sharing to anyone else.

ReplyDeletePeople prefer to believe what is trending in social media than believe what our president and other health workers or researchers say about the virus or vaccine. Sometimes, I don't blame them for believing misinformation as it may be shared by doctors or anyone related to that department. People don't start rumors from nowhere... The same people that should be helping to solve the problem are the very same people that make the problem even worse and too difficult to solve.
ReplyDeleteIt breaks my heart that we have lost our loved ones to this virus and people are still dying but there is still a group of people who refuse to believe that it actually exists, all because of the spread of misinformation. This blog serve as a tool to educate and re-inform people about this virus, and also create awareness in our communities. Very informative.

ReplyDeleteThe sad part is that people fail to believe that the disease is deadly instead they rather spread fake news to persuade others not to take the vaccines that is meant to save lives. Am glad your organisation is there to provide factual information about disease and educate others on the dangers of spreading lies.

ReplyDeleteIt's really sad that to date some people still don't take the virus as serious as they should,simply because the believe misleading information regarding this virus...it's really selfish of one to spread misleading information about a virus as serious and deadly as the Corona virus, people shouldfirst think about the impact their opinions about issues like this will have on people's lives of the people around them.
ReplyDeleteI think if there was a reliable platform in which information is being shared and recieved, then the spread of wrong information through digital platforms could be avoided. We live in a country where wrong information and less serious thing are aesily trending, nobody pays attention to serious things.
